There was a pretty serious traffic spike today on my article about why organic food is epic rubbish and how you shouldn’t let that get in the way of you buying it.  I guess people like the controversial stuff at least as much as they like the recipes and the kitchen successes.  Fine, if you like it like that, how’s “if you go on a detox diet you are probably a moron, they are all bad for you, none of them are good for you”.   How do you like them apples (or lemons?).  Let me explain why detox diets are evidence of brain rabies.

The following statements are absolute, inarguable facts.

  1. Organic food has exactly, exactly as much nutritional value as non-organic food.  No more, no less, it is exactly the same in terms of how good it is for you.
  2. Organic food tastes identical to non-organic food.  Organic chicken is not more chicken-y than non organic chicken by virtue of how organic it is.
  3. Organic food is likely to have pesticides, preservatives and additives.
  4. You should buy organic food.
